Gio Gonzalez dominated striking out 10 Northeast batters and Robinson Cano
cracked 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the Long Island Sound bested the
Northeast Neanderthals in 11 innings 4 to 2 at Camden Yards.
 
The score was tied at 2 after nine.  Long Island came out the victor in the
11th inning.  After an out was recorded, Joey Votto started the attack as he
drew a walk.  Kyle Seager got his turn next, but he was a strikeout victim.
Cano then bombed a two-run dinger.  Matt Holliday was a strikeout victim,
unable to help out.  Long Island had 8 hits for the game and Northeast had 5.
 
Wade Davis(1-0) went 1 and 2/3 innings allowing no runs for the win. Santiago
Casilla recorded his 4th save.  Dale Thayer(0-1) absorbed the loss in relief.
He pitched 1 and 1/3 innings giving up no hits and 1 walk.
