Long Island jumped out to the early lead in the first inning plating 2 runs on
2 hits. Derek Jeter started the inning off right when he slapped a one-base
hit. Joey Votto got his turn next, but he was a strikeout victim. Kyle
Seager then doubled. Robinson Cano followed and he would ground out. Both
teams totaled 8 hits on the night.
