Spencer Turnbull delivered 9 solid innings at Nationals Park as the Homestead
Grays lost a heartbreaker to San Joaquin Wasps by the score of 6 to 2.
San Joaquin had the game winning rally in the 9th inning scoring 4 runners on
2 hits. The biggest moment was provided by Salvador Perez who made the crowd
come alive when he caught a hold of a fastball for a Grand Slam homerun. San
Joaquin had a total of 10 hits for the game.
Turnbull(1-0) got the victory, allowing 2 runs for the game. Casey Sadler(0-1)
took the loss in relief. 'Turnbull took our guys to school' Steve Lockney
said. 'Too bad he doesn't pitch for us - it would make my job a whole lot
easier!'
