Jake Peavy delivered 8 solid innings and Derek Jeter homered and had 4 RBI at
Camden Yards where the Long Island Sound beat the Northeast Neanderthals by
the score of 4 to 1.
 
Jeter had a big day with his bat.  He blasted a two-run home run in the 3rd
inning and doubled bringing home two baserunners in the 5th inning.  Long
Island ended up with 9 hits for the game while Northeast had 6.  
 
The victory was credited to Peavy(3-2) who went 8 innings, allowing 1 run.
Peavy got help from Casey Janssen who was credited with his 4th save.  Anibal
Sanchez(2-1) was hit with the loss.  He pitched 5 and 2/3 innings and
surrendered 8 hits and 1 walk.
