What could be better than getting together with fellow dog enthusiasts for fun and friendly competition? Unlike Conformation events, Obedience trials are family friendly events that judge each dog and handler team individually based on their performance. In Obedience, all competitors have a chance to "win" and move up to the next level of competition.
Obedience teaches empathy between the handler and dog as well as patience, perseverance, and sportsmanship. The entire family can join in on the fun at meetings while getting to know other families who share a common interest. Obedience club members often make many lifelong friendships.
Join us as founding members of the Greater Oklahoma Obedience Club serving rural families in southwest and south central Oklahoma. I guarantee you'll have a great time.
Did you know you don't need a purebred dog to join our club? The AKC has a new program that lets you register your mixed breed dog and compete and title in AKC Canine Partners Agility, Obedience, and Rally events. So if you're like many Oklahoma ranchers and farmers, you have the smartest darn dog ever (even though he/she doesn't have a fancy pedigree). Well my friend, here's your chance to put your money where your mouth is and prove it. Get up off your duff and help us get this club started!
